We had another amazing week at PC Family Camp! We were so blessed again this year! I wish I could explain what a wonderful place PC is for our family. We are able to "get away" as a family, rest, spend a ton of fun time together (both with the kids and as a couple:), and be encouraged and filled spiritually all at the same time. It is just a great place for our family and we are so grateful for the opportunity to go each year (this was our 2nd summer to go. :) I am going to attempt to document the week in pictures. LOTS of pics (sorry!), but I hope that our kiddos will look back to their 1st years of family camp with fond memories of all the fun we had. :) Here we go!
We made it!! (And even on time!;)
We shoe polished our car this year. :)
The 1st night was a lot of us settling in our cabin and getting to know the counsellors and signing up hearing about all the 'happenings' for the week. We ended the night with a pool party and slept VERY well. (We were so tired!:)
On Monday, we ate breakfast, had a family devotional time and then sent the kiddos to Cove Kids while we went to a speaker session (on grace based parenting - awesome material!!). We were so proud of Austin! As I posted before, he took swimming lessons earlier this summer. At camp, he had to take a swim test to be able to swim without a life vest. He not only passed the test, but also jumped off the diving board for the very 1st time. :)
This kiddo was loving every minute of camp!
Monday night was the 1st theme night - Great Scot! We all dressed in as much plaid as possible and headed to dinner.
This was pretty much the scene all week. We tested out that jeep stroller and the weight limits carrying all 3 kids all week. :) You may be asking yourselves, what is Andrew wearing??
YES!!! It is a kilt!! :) He was such a great sport to wear it! Fun memories! (Thanks to Mandy for making it for him.:)
Our family of 5.
This is what almost every meal looked like. Our great friends, the Helms came to camp with us this year and we had a blast with their sweet family! We ate almost every meal together. 5 kids and 4 adults around the table= just a little bit of chaos, but it was fun. :)
