Tuesday was Ainsley's class - the Butterflies - turn to go to the pool during Cove Kids. She did so great all week. She is a pretty easy going kiddo (praise God!!) and didn't have much trouble out of her bed and on a new schedule all week. The thing Ains had the hardest time with was taking a shower every night. (There are no bath tubs and our little girl likes her bath time. :)
Ains with one of our fav Cove Kids counsellors - Night Crawler. :)
Austin and Audrey's class - the Bears - went horse back riding while we were in our speaker session on Tuesday. This was one of the main events of the week that A-Town can remember from last year and he was VERY excited to get back on a horse (named Brownie) again. He didn't want to eat breakfast, do our family devo or anything that morning. Just. ride. Brownie. So glad he got his chance. ;)
Audrey - not so much. I think she is going to leave the horse back riding to her big bro. ;)
Sweet new friends.
On Tuesday night the adults got to have a picnic dinner (yes, it was still like 100 degrees outside!) while the kids were hanging with their counsellors for dinner. The camp provides this lovely basket of food, a blanket to sit on and a page of questions to go through together while on your date. They make the guys look really good. ;) My sweet hubby also added a personal touch by giving me a card. Loved it!!
And we are off...
On Wednesday, the adults got the morning off. (We didn't have to pick our kids back up until after nap time at 3:30!! :) We went into Tyler with Mandy and Steve and had a great day! We ate Mexican food, had good conversation and then went bowling together. We love spending time with the Helms and are so thankful for their friendship. :)
When we got back we rushed to pick the kids up, put bathing suits and sunscreen on and headed to the boat dock for what we thought was going to be banana boating, but ended up being tubing. It was Austin's 1st time to ride in a tube and he did great. (Another 1st - many more coming for our boy who is growing up too fast.:)
Daddy went tubing as well. Let's just say we went a lot faster when he was on it. ;)
