July 4th 2010

Happy Birthday, America! We had a great July 4th weekend complete with lots of family time, a great church service and a trip to the lake to watch fire works.

LOVE it when I can capture real smiles and laughter. :)

We brought Abraham to the lake with us for the first time. He and Austin had a blast!!

We had a great dinner and then all the kids (12 in all including our kiddos) went outside to play while waiting on the fire works to start. Austin got WAY into the football game that was being casually played. He pretty much tackled this sweet 7 year old kid every time he had the ball. We always have known that A-town is aggressive, but he was a wild man running all over the place. I know Daddy was secretly proud and looking forward to the day our little man plays f-ball for real. ;)

We had a view of 3 different fire works shows by people around us the whole night. It was very entertaining and also very hard to get the kids to sleep since they went on until well after midnight...

Most of the crew watching the fire works.

Audrey and I decided to capture the moment :)

Austin loved doing the sparklers. He pretty much had the time of his life all night long. Something about boys and blowing stuff up...

Audrey did this mainly b/c her big bro was doing it, but would have been just fine watching from afar.

Daddy was a little nervous about sparklers, but it was a success. :)

...even with Ainsley

The next morning we got up bright and early and had an awesome private baptism service right in the lake (blog and pics to come) and then spent the rest of the day playing in the lake.

Austin loves everything about being in the water and had a fun canoe ride with Grandpa.

Audrey is not a huge fan of the lake, but she likes putting on her bathing suit and playing in the kiddie pool. :)

Cards were definitely played (Gigi won :)...

...and the go cart as my kids call it was definitely ridden...

... and these 3 were brave enough to 'get in' the lake for some swimming time.

Ainsley has found her calling as a two year old - she loves all things BUBBLES!! ;)

So thankful for this little house and to Andrew's family for making such a wonderful place for our family to retreat.
