Speaking of keeping us on our toes - we had our 1st ER visit with him right before the New Year. We were at Fuddrucker's with my family finishing out our Christmas celebrations and Austin ran smack dab into the corner of the self-serving area on our way to the table and hit the corner just right and hard enough to where he sliced his head open. It was very scary for us with all the screaming and blood, but thankfully he just needed a couple of stitches and we were good to go. A-town handled it so well and even on our way to the hospital, he was trying to convince us that he was fine. (He really handled the whole thing better than I did. I was a mess the whole night. So hard to see your baby hurt...) Austin was the talk of the ER and just like his style, he charmed every one in that place and had nurses coming to meet him before we left. It was hilarious (in a were at the ER kind of way. :) That's our boy!Austin, Daddy and Mommy love you so much and we are so proud of you! Happy 4th birthday, son!

okay 1st:
How do you deal with the birthday right after Christmas? The babies will be 2 on Thursday and I'm all but ignoring it. I figure this is the last time I can get away with this.
2nd: JR did the same thing to his eye when he was about 2 years old. (He slipped and hit the side of the bathtub) I have never seen so much blood, I was covered by the time we got to the ER, so I know what you were going through! FYI: he hardly has a scar, just a cool "Dylan McKay" like one through his eyebrow.
Happy, Happy Birthday to Austin!!
What a handsome boy! We sure do love him! Happy Birthday, Austin!!
