Waco!

We love going to Waco to visit Papa and Grandma and our friends! Here are some pics from our short visit:

These two have been buds since birth. Love watching them play so naturally together even though they don't get to see each other that often.

And of course we spent time with Papa and Grandma! They took us to the Mayborn Museum and the kids had a blast!!

Houston Rodeo 2012

Here are our Cowboy and Cowgirls! As new Houstonians, we were told that we HAD to attend the Rodeo. And so we went!

The kids had so much fun riding all the rodeo park rides.  It was crazy busy, but we all survived! Thanks so much to the sweet family who invited us and gave us a bunch of park tickets!

We had a great time, but also decided that we were glad the Rodeo is only a once a year trip, because we were all WORN OUT by the time we made it home!

Daddy's New Car!

So the Miracle Mitt (as we lovingly called the first car we ever bought as a couple in 2001), finally hit the dust. We always said we would drive that thing into the ground and knew when the dealership told us that we could only sell it for parts that we did just that! SO, Andrew finally got a new-to-us-car!

Both Daddy and the kids were so excited!

The first place we went in it was the Houston Rodeo! So fun!

Homeschooling A2

At the end of January, we decided to go ahead and pull Audrey out of the preschool at our Church and begin home schooling her. She had been begging for weeks to "go to school at home" (with some tears on days) and so it was a very smooth transition for her. :)

 

I love that she is so excited everyday to do her preschool/kindergarten lessons. :) She is a wonderful student!

Her big brother loves having her home too. They are the best of friends and have a blast playing together. Loving this season!!

Siesta Scripture Memory Verse Celebration 2012

Last month my best friend and I, Mandy went on our 2nd SSMT Celebration at Houston's First Baptist with Beth Moore. It was an event both of us had been waiting to attend again for 2 years! In order to go we had to memorize 24 scriptures during 2011 and be able to say almost all of them at the conference. I can't even begin to say how much this sweet friend means to me. She is an amazing encourager, listener and accountability partner and I am so truly thankful for her friendship!

Beth taught out of the book of 2 John (she had the whole thing memorized!). The Lord used her to speak directly to my heart. Amazing worship and refreshing time in the Word!

This was an awesome wall full of ladies' favorite scriptures.

These two ladies said ALL 24 scriptures! (Bethany is a friend of Mandy's from Waco who met us at the conference. She was so sweet!) So proud! It was a wonderful weekend! Looking forward to 2013 when we do it all again!
