Vbs 2012

We had a great VBS with JVBC this summer! The theme was the Amazing Wonders of God and our kids had the best time! We have the most incredible children's minister ever! Ms. Nancy and her crew made the week extra special for all the children who came. Proud of my church for reaching out to the community, raising money for people in need and teaching the message of Jesus. In my 3rd grade group alone 7 kids made decisions for Christ! That's what it's all about!!

Of course my Hubby was right in the middle of the action all week long! What's a VBS without the Shark Song?? ;)

Bubble Party!

When I asked Ainsley what kind of birthday party she wanted she said over and over again that she wanted a bubble party. So, a bubble themed party is what she got! :)

This bubble gum cake and cupcakes were perfect and so fun! (And even tasted like bubble gum!)





Several fun friends and family came to celebrate our little girl, but I of course didn't get a chance to take many pictures. Love this one of Audrey, Ella and Hallie! They were up in Audrey's room playing most of the party. :)


It was a hard day for mom and daddy because some good friends of ours lost their 5 month old little boy. We celebrated and had the party anyways (how do you tell a 4 year old, "Sorry, we are sad and not really feeling like having a party with a lot of people in our house right now"??) This girl had fun at her bubble party and that is all that mattered. :)

Swim Team Fun!

Austin joined the Wortham Whitesharks Swim Team this summer and had a blast! If there are two things my boy likes to do they are swim and race! He never complained once about going to practice (EVERYDAY from end of April to June!!) and he liked being in the swim meets (though they are long and hard to keep a 6 year old occupied for 5 hours!) Here are some pics we captured from the season:


Yep, he is a super silly (and cute!) kid!


This was at one of his first meets. I was so proud of my little swimmer!





Daddy worked hard at every meet being a timer for each race for the first shift. Swimming meets take A LOT of parents to pull off! It was great getting to meet our neighbors and something I hope we do every year. :)

These two sisters were troopers each weekend of May and June! It's hot for an almost 4 year old and 5 year old to sit outside all morning. We did a lot of reading books, eating snacks, playing games on mommy's phone and painting nails while we waited for brothers next race. ;)





GREAT coaches! Austin loved them!


He had a good season where the goal was to improve on his times in the freestyle and backstroke every week and he did! His last meet was the best where he placed 2nd in his heat in the free and 3rd in the backstroke. Overall, great first time experience with swim team! Go, Austin!!

Ainsley is 4!!

Our beautiful baby girl is 4!! Just can't believe it!! In our house, 4 is that 'magic' age for us. We love this age and are finally starting to feel like we are officially out of the weeds. Parenting 3 kids so close together in age can be hard at times, but also so very rewarding. We can actually say we wouldn't change it if we had to do it all over again. It has been quite the ride (and will continue to be!), but we have loved it!


Playing with her b-day gift from us. (With her siblings, of course! Nothing gets done alone in our house!) ;)


Ainsley is our active, strong willed, sweet, loud, fun-loving, fashionable, kind helpful and destructive (at the same time!!) little joy. She always knows what she wants and she wakes up everyday with a smile on her face and the outfit she would like to wear already planned out. ;) She loves music, her lamby and blanket, purses, her mommy's shoes, helping 'clean', her siblings, her Zuzu and any kind of lip gloss.


We went to a bounce house place to celebrate on her birthday.


This girl always has a purse on her arm!!


She got a new booster car seat and was so happy to be a 'big girl' and buckle herself in! (Me, too!!)


Snow ones for a special birthday treat. :)


Friends and a birthday cake topped off the fun day! We love you, Ainsley-girl!!

Giant Angry Birds

Our youth group had a giant angry birds night/competition at church to kick off the summer and it was so much fun!!


These two are in heaven! They LOVE angry birds! (Austin more than Audrey, of course!)

Welcome to the World Baby Levi!

We have a new nephew and cousin! Baby Levi Michael was born on May 5, 2012 weighing 10 lbs and was 19 1/2 inches long. He is beautiful and our whole family is so excited!

Our sis came in town (for our Granddaddy's funeral) from South Africa!




It was very bittersweet for her to be able to meet and hold Levi in his first week of life and celebrate our Grand fathers life days a part from each other. (A true gift from the Lord!)




Love this little guy so much already!
